So...this handsome guy is my nephew. A tender soul with a sweetness about him that is contagious. My mother-in-law says he reminds her of my husband when he was little ( just maybe making me love him even a tiny bit more.) When I asked Jack if he would come to the beach with me to play and take a few pictures, he immediately said..."Can I go in the DUNES?!" Yes. "Can I bring my PLANE?" Of course! Our time playing was almost as limited as with his sister. A twin thing? Maybe. Their age? Most likely. Regardless, a few minutes together, just Jack and I, are now moments that I absolutely treasure. My passion for photography was fueled by my niece and nephew - twins born on Christmas morning. I LOVE photographing them. Watching the way they interact (or not), making each other laugh and being witness to how they grow in leaps and bounds in the months we are apart. Each summer, my husband and I travel from the West coast to the East to spend a few precious weeks with our families and friends. This summer I spent the first week meeting new clients, photographing old friends and building my photography business in New England. The last two were at the beach, at the house we rent every year. Twenty steps from the beach. Somehow the time flew by and before I knew it, it was almost time to pack up the house and head home - without any photos of my niece and nephew. Thankfully, I managed to get on the beach on our last (cloudy) afternoon with Harley. Only condition, she could bring her box of cereal. Done. We were there for 10 minutes. Why? See last picture...Any guesses? Oh, those hungry seagulls.....Lesson learned but pleasantly surprised with what I got. So much love for this little one growing into one beautiful little lady. xoxo
